- [Tony] Hey, hello there. My name is Tony Harmer and I'm a British illustrator, designer, and author. I'd very much like to welcome you to this Illustrator Essential Training course that I've designed to give you the essential skills you need to get started with Adobe Illustrator. And even if you've been using it for a while, it's an opportunity for you to hone and develop those fundamentals. You're going to find out what Illustrator's used for, you'll discover the interface, and learn about working with documents and art boards before finding out more about the key tools, techniques, and concepts you'll need to get up and running quickly.

At the end of the course, I'll be suggesting some great starting points on where to go after this course. So we're going to go ahead, spend a few hours together, get yourself comfortable, get into learning mode, and let's cover some important ground before we get started working with Illustrator and then let's have some fun on the way.
